Back to sewing!

In two days it will be two months that I've been in Portugal.
Em dois dias faz dois meses que cheguei a Portugal.

It has been a sweet and busy journey

and I've been loving being surrounded by my family.
Têm sido dias bons e ocupados
e tenho adorado estar rodeada pela minha família.

The best of all, I get to hug my grandson every single day.
O melhor de tudo é poder abraçar o meu neto todos os dias. 

Last week my little grandnephew turned seven.
Na semana passada o meu sobrinho neto fez sete anos. 

He's a bright little kid and my grandson's best pal.
É um rapazinho muito esperto e o melhor amigo do meu neto.

And because I was craving so much to sew

(I was finally able to get my mom's old machine to work),
E porque eu tinha tanta vontade de costurar
(finalmente consegui pôr a máquina de costura da minha mãe a trabalhar),

I've decided to make him a buddy to hug when he goes to bed.
decidi fazer-lhe um amigo para ele abraçar quando se vai deitar.

With pieces of material I could find from my mom's old stash

and a bit more I bought at the store 

(fabric is really expensive here!)

I've made this silly big fella.

Com bocados de tecido que consegui encontrar nos retalhos da minha mãe 

 e mais outros que comprei na loja

(o tecido aqui é muito mais caro!),

fiz este grande boneco taralhoco.

It came out kinda cute, don't you think?

Ficou engraçado, não acham?

I also made him one Oh La La Lolita Doll (boy version)

but I don't think he liked it...

Também lhe fiz um boneco Oh La La Lolita Doll (versão para rapaz) mas acho que ele não gostou...

Oh well, the Lolita Dolls have been a real success with the girls,

and I've sold quite a few... and since my grandson loved it,

it's already on my to-do list for his birthday!

Não faz mal, as Lolita Dolls têm tido um grande sucesso com as raparigas e tenho vendido bastantes... e já que o meu neto o adorou,

já está na minha lista de coisas para fazer para os anos dele!

And now that I've my mom's sewing machine working,

I already have lots of projects on my mind!

E agora que tenho a máquina de costura da minha mãe a funcionar,

já tenho montes de projectos na cabeça!

But still can't wait for my sewing machines to arrive from the US!

Ainda assim mal posso esperar que as minhas máquinas de costura cheguem dos Estados Unidos!

Hopefully it won't take much longer!

Esperemos que não de demorem muito mais tempo!
